From l'Ala d'Italia 1933: "He was born in Perugia on 7 June 1901; he followed his high school studies in his city and graduated in Agricultural Sciences. He was one of the founders of the Combat Beam of Perugia; participated in all the expeditions conducted by the Perugian Action Teams in Umbria, Tuscany, Lazio and the March on Rome. Enrolled in October 1923, he obtained the military pilot's license on September 1, 1924, and in January 1925 he was transferred to the request in Tripolitania, where he completed more than 1000 flight hours almost all in rebel territory and in war service, and where he was commander of the Sirtica squadron and a major aide to the Aviation Command. It is decorated with a silver medal and three bronze with military valor and promoted to Captain by war. He was awarded the "Baracca Prize" for the year 1929."

From l'Ala d'Italia 1933: "He was born in Castellucchio di Mantova on 2 August 1904. In 1923 he enrolled in the R. Marina and attended the piloting course in the School of Portorož, becoming a pilot in June 1924. In addition to the Western and Eastern Mediterranean Cruises, he took part in the Transatlantic Air Cruise, and for this enterprise it is decorated with a gold medal for aeronautical value."
