From l'Ala d'Italia 1933: "He was born in Perugia on November 21st, 1900. He was admitted to attend, in March 1918, as a volunteer of war, the School of Aviation Officers of Montecelio, from which he went out Officer and pilot. He has served in departments of different specialties. It is decorated with a bronze medal of long air navigation."

From l'Ala d'Italia 1933: "He was born in Lucca on 10 September 1902. He was admitted to the Piloting School of Coltano (Pisa) in January 1923 and obtained a civil pilot's license in March of the same year. Sent to the R. Aeronautical Academy to attend the IV Course Integration, he went out with the rank of S. Tenente in S.P.E. Later he was assigned to the School of Piloting of the R. Aeronautical Academy (Capua) as a flight instructor. He participated in the races for the "Baracca Cup" in the years 1925 and 1926. He has the long air navigation medal."
