From L'Ala d'Italia 1933: "He was born in Milazzo on 6 June 1903. He is a long-time captain. In October 1924 he became a pilot lieutenant. Yes it is distinguished in the colonial campaigns for courageous initiatives. It is decorated with a bronze medal for military valor and the Cross for war merit for a series of aerial bombing actions carried out with intelligence and skill, succeeding in inflicting serious losses on the rebel Arabs; and has obtained a Solemn Encomium for having voluntarily accomplished an important colonial air mission. He was promoted to the captain on March 20, 1933."

From L'Ala d'Italia 1933: "He was born in Modena on March 3, 1907, from a Turinese family; he performed classical studies in Piedmont. It comes from the "Centauro" Course of the R. Aeronautical Academy. He was promoted to second lieutenant in the Air Force in 1928 and lieutenant in 1929. Having completed the pilot's license at the Capua School, he moved to seaplanes in July 1929. He is decorated with an aeronautical value bronze medal for a rescue in the waters of Fažana during a flight accident occurred to an apparatus of its formation."
